‘Bisbee Walkabout’ Painting and Drawing Workshop
With Sam Woolcott June 8-12, 2008

Arizona’s brilliant blue skies, rich terracotta land, hues of browns, greens and yellows beckon. Come join us for a painting and drawing workshop with award-winning artist Sam Woolcott. Well-known for her “plein air” paintings and inventive use of color, Sam will cover the fundamentals of painting and drawing as well as working directly with each workshop participant, addressing technique according to level.

An historic mining and arts town with no two houses alike, the “Bisbee Walkabout” provides an abundant source of architectural and landscape-based inspiration. Indulge yourself in a 4-day workshop with beautiful lodging, an evening barbeque, 4 breakfasts, 3 lunches and a final viewing with refreshments.

Sam Woolcott has won awards in national art shows including First Place in Painting and three-time Award Winner in Drawing at the Sausalito Art Festival in California and the Jurors Award at the Plaza Show in Kansas City, Kansas in 2005. Locally, Sam won Best in Show at the Bisbee Plein Air Competition in 2004 and again in 2007, along with winning the Bisbee Artist Award.

Deadline: Last date for reserving a workshop space: May 23, 2008.
