"One day I came upon the demolition of a nearby house.  The roof was gone but the rafters remained.  Peeling layers of wallpaper all had a dreamy, watery motif.  I thought of the hardscrabble life outside of this house and the delicate cool comfort of the pond scenes within.  These are my remnants of the Pond Hill House."

Everyday is an opportunity for visual curiosities and delights. As I prowl around town, a gabled roof pops into view, a stand of vegetation screens my sight line or discarded paint sticks call out for my attention. I use paper ephemera and a variety of pastels, charcoal and paint to recall my expeditions of the day.
